House Pad Grading & Site Prep in the NC High Country
You found the lot. Before a foundation crew can do anything, the ground has to be cut, filled, and packed into a level pad that will not move. That is where Ethan starts your project.
Most building lots in the High Country are anything but flat. Ethan cuts into the slope, builds up and compacts the low side, and shapes a pad to the elevation your builder needs, with the drainage worked out so water runs away from the house and not under it.
What's involved
- Clearing and stripping topsoil from the building footprint
- Cut-and-fill to a level, compacted pad at the right elevation
- Shaping the lot so water drains away from the foundation
- Rough grading for the driveway approach and parking
- Coordinating the pad to your builder's stake-out and timeline

Jobs this covers
New home pads, garage and shop slabs, modular and cabin sites, additions, and re-grading a site that was never finished right.
